Sidewalk Prophets has a song titled "You Love Me Anyway" that beautifully illustrates the incredible love Jesus has for us. It reminds us that we could have been among the crowd shouting, "Crucify Him!" We could have been Judas, betraying Him with a kiss. We could have been the soldier driving the nails into His hands. Yet Jesus loved them—and He loves us—with that same unfailing love.
The truth is even more personal: it wasn't just their sin that led Jesus to the cross; it was ours as well. Knowing every sin we would ever commit, every failure, every time we would fall short, He still chose the cross. He loves you enough to willingly lay down His life so your sins could be forgiven and you could be reconciled to God. That is the depth of His amazing love.
