Amazing presentation from Laura Potts with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - UT, Salt Lake today. It was heartbreaking to hear how many kids have never had a bed. If you want to help, they need volunteers to make beds and are doing a big event in Sept at Lowe's in West Jordan. See the flyer below.

We did a supply and snack drive this month for Heartland Elementary. Yesterday we delivered snacks, supplies and $1400.00 we raised for the school to purchase things they need for the students. Thank you to everyone who donated and participated. This is what Rotary is all about - helping the community!

We are collecting some much needed supplies for Heartland Elementary in West Jordan (a Title 1 school). They have specifically requested dry erase markers and erasers tissues, clorox wipes and hand sanitizer. They have also asked for prepackaged snacks (goldfish, fruit snacks, pretzels, etc). These snacks are sometimes the only thing outside of school meals that some of these students get. We will be delivering items to the school on August 11th. If you'd like to help out please let us know!

Today we honored a Utah resident, Trevor Crane, with a posthumous Paul Harris award. Trevor was a brilliant, caring and courageous man who gave everything to help the efforts in Ukraine. Please remember to thank those around you that have the courage and are willing to stand for others no matter the price.
