🫁 Respiratory Awareness Week is Coming! 💙

In honour of Respiratory Awareness Week, October 25–31, we're shining a spotlight on our O Warriors and sharing their respiratory journeys throughout the week! ✨

From oxygen and ventilators to tracheostomies, pulmonary hypertension, chronic lung conditions, and everything in between, respiratory challenges are part of so many of our warriors' stories.

🕯️ Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day 🕯️

Today, we remember the babies who were here for far too short a time, but who will be loved for a lifetime. 🤍

Within our O Warrior community, we hold especially close the families whose Omphalocele Warriors are no longer here with us. Their stories matter. Their lives matter. And they will always be part of our O Warrior family. 🧡

To every parent and family carrying the love and memory of a baby they have lost today, and every day, we remember with you.

Tonight at 7:00 PM, families around the world are invited to light a candle as part of the Wave of Light, creating a continuous wave of light in remembrance of babies gone too soon. 🕯️

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Warriors. 🤍🧡

🧡 Monday O-Motivation: Meet Giovanni! 🧡

Giovanni was born with a Giant Omphalocele, with almost all of his small intestine outside of his body. Because of the size of his abdomen, closure will have to wait until he is older and will require multiple surgeries.

For now, his Omphalocele is protected with a specialized wound VAC dressing, with dressing changes performed by his surgical team twice a week.

Giovanni’s journey is one of patience, strength and true Warrior spirit. 🧡

💚 World Mental Health Day 💚

Behind every Warrior is a journey that can carry so much more than what others see.

The diagnosis. The uncertainty. The NICU days. The surgeries. The appointments. The fear, exhaustion and constant advocating and sometimes, simply trying to hold everything together.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we want to remind our O Warrior parents and caregivers that your mental health matters, too. 🧡

It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to have hard days. And it’s okay to take care of yourself while you’re taking care of your Warrior.

To our O Warrior community: you don’t have to carry it all alone. 💚🧡

🩻🧡 October is Sonographer Awareness Month! 🧡🩻

For many O Warrior families, a sonographer was there for one of the moments we will never forget the ultrasound when we first learned our baby had an Omphalocele.

Whether it was discovered during an early ultrasound, at the anatomy scan, or later in pregnancy, so many of us can still remember that room, that screen and the moment our journey changed.

This month, we want to recognize the incredible sonographers who play such an important role in prenatal care from helping identify our babies’ Omphaloceles to following their growth and development throughout pregnancy. 🧡

And we want to hear YOUR story!

💚 September 30 is NICU Awareness Day! 💚

As NICU Awareness Month comes to a close, today we wear green for the babies, families, and incredible teams whose lives have been touched by the NICU. 💚

For so many O Warrior families, the NICU is where their omphalocele journey begins. It’s a place of uncertainty and fear, but also of incredible strength, tiny victories, lifelong friendships, and hope.

Throughout September, we’ve shared NICU stories, celebrated the people who care for our warriors, remembered those who are deeply missed, and recognized the families who know firsthand what it means to live life one day — and sometimes one hour — at a time.

Today, we invite our O Warrior community to wear green and help us turn social media green for NICU Awareness Day! 💚

💚 September 29 is NICU Sibling Support Day! 💚

When a baby is in the NICU, the journey belongs to the whole family — including the brothers and sisters waiting, wondering, adapting, and loving their sibling through it all. 💚

NICU siblings often experience big changes they may not fully understand: parents spending long days at the hospital, routines changing, missed family time, and sometimes having to love their new sibling from a distance.

And through it all, they show us just how special the sibling bond can be. 🥹

Today, on NICU Sibling Support Day, we celebrate the brothers and sisters of our O Warriors — the little (and big!) cheerleaders who are an important part of their warrior’s story.

💚 To all our O Warrior siblings: you’re warriors too.
