Sherwood Oaks Film School Unprecedented access to Hollywood heavyweights. Gary Shusett founded Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in 1971.

Notable alumni include James Cameron, Todd Durham, Matt Groening, Paul Haggis, Nancy Meyers and Sylvester Stallone. Against great odds and with a handful of funds from his own pocket, he launched the non-profit school almost 50 years ago and today it is still thriving, still dedicated to jump-starting the careers of passionate filmmakers.
