What began as an act of community, sisterhood, and love is now being shared by Jewish media across the world. ❤️

When one of our Achoteinu members along with her husband & children were preparing to complete their conversion, our community came together to create an unforgettable wedding celebration—filled with dignity, joy, and support. 💍💐

Volunteers organized, decorated, donated, prepared, and showed up. Many barely knew the family, but they understood something important:

No one should have to walk this journey alone.

Now, this beautiful story of kindness is reaching far beyond our community! 🥹

🌸 Last Night’s Zoom & Shmooze with Achoteinu 🌸

Last night’s Zoom & Shmooze was another beautiful reminder of what makes the Achoteinu community so special. 💕 We had the pleasure of welcoming new women into our community, sharing stories, making connections, and creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and truly seen.

We also had the opportunity to learn together with a D’var Torah on Parshat Shoftim.

One of the powerful messages of Shoftim is the importance of justice, integrity, leadership, and having people who can guide us on the right path. The Torah reminds us that no one is meant to navigate everything alone.

And that message resonates so deeply with Achoteinu.

For women on a journey toward Judaism, whether they are just beginning to explore, preparing for conversion, have recently converted, or have been Jewish for years, the journey can sometimes feel overwhelming or lonely. Achoteinu is here to remind every woman: You are not alone. You have your sisters. You have a community. You have people walking beside you. 🤍

Just as Shoftim speaks about creating a community grounded in justice, compassion, and proper guidance, Achoteinu strives to create a community grounded in support, friendship, Torah, and sisterhood.

Last night was more than a Zoom meeting—it was another opportunity to strengthen the bonds between our sisters and welcome new women into our growing family. 🫶🏼

💙 This is what community looks like. This is what Achoteinu is all about. 💙

We are so incredibly proud and emotional seeing this beautiful story shared by COLlive about a family whose journey to Judaism was filled with faith, commitment, military transfers, uncertainty—and ultimately, an outpouring of love from complete strangers.

After years of studying, living a Jewish life, keeping Shabbat and kosher, and completing their Orthodox conversion journey, this family found themselves facing an unexpected challenge: they needed a halachic wedding, and they had only days to make it happen.

A simple message turned into something extraordinary.

What followed was a community-wide effort. A venue, catering, music, flowers, photography, accommodations, Judaica, challah, w**e, decorations—and most importantly, people who showed up with open hearts.

People who had never met this family came to dance with them, celebrate with them, welcome them, and make sure they knew they were not alone.

That is Achoteinu. ❤️

We know firsthand that the conversion journey can sometimes feel lonely. There are moments of uncertainty, questions, challenges, and times when you wonder where you truly belong.

But then something like this happens.

A family says yes to joining Am Yisrael—and Am Yisrael says yes right back. 🇮🇱✡️

This story reminds me why Achoteinu exists: to make sure women and families entering the Jewish community know that they have sisters, friends, and a community standing beside them.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in making this wedding possible. What began with a need became something much bigger—a family being welcomed home. 🥹❤️

Mazel tov to this beautiful family! May their new chapter be filled with endless brachot, simcha, Torah, and a lifetime of beautiful Jewish memories.

And may we continue to be the kind of community that doesn’t ask, “Do we know them?” but simply asks, “How can we help?”

Because sometimes, strangers become family. ❤️
