A few of our scouts visited the Medicine Wheel Park in Valley City this weekend for the summer solstice. They learned about the mysteries and uses of medicine wheels placed by indigenous Americans hundreds of years ago, and also got to go on a hike through a scale model of our solar system.

Next up: Pack 232 will be going to Fort Ransom on July 11th, to find and explore North Dakota’s only waterfall. Adventure awaits for those who seek it!

We had 12 Helpful scouts from Pack 232 participate in Council-wide Conservation day! The edible garden at Orchard Glen Park in South Fargo is now completely free of weeds thanks to them- great job scouts!

For more than a century, Scouting has been a national leader in conservation, instilling a respect for the outdoors and a commitment to service in generations of young people. From restoring habitats and protecting wildlife to promoting environmental stewardship, conservation has always been a core part of the Scouting mission. Building on this proud legacy, Scouting America units of all types from throughout the Northern Lights Council will have the opportunity to plan and execute conservation projects to benefit our environment.

On Saturday, June 13th, Scouts across the Northern Lights Council will demonstrate that service to others and care for the environment remains at the heart of the Scouting
movement.

Pack 232 will be meeting at Orchard Glen Park in South Fargo, where we will be weeding the community edible garden. Bring your gardening gloves, and we will see you there!

Today, Pack 232 was honored to participate in the West Fargo VFW Post 7564 Memorial Day event alongside Scouting America Troop 213 as we remembered and honored the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is an important opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedoms and to show our gratitude to those who served.

Our Scouts were proud to help support this meaningful community event through service and participation. Giving back to the community and honoring veterans are important parts of Scouting, and we are grateful for the chance to teach our Scouts the value of respect, citizenship, and service to others.

Thank you to the VFW for allowing Pack 232 and Troop 213 to be part of such a special day of remembrance. 🇺🇸

What an incredible way to wrap up the year at Pack 232’s End-of-Year Picnic! 🌭🏕️☀️

Tonight we celebrated more than just another great Scouting year — we celebrated growth, perseverance, friendship, and achievement. Watching our Scouts complete their ranks and advance to the next level is always a proud moment. Every badge earned, requirement completed, and challenge overcome represents hard work, learning, and personal growth. Advancement is more than moving up in rank — it’s about building confidence, responsibility, leadership, and character that will stay with these Scouts for life.

A huge thank you goes out to our amazing leaders and volunteers who give so much of their time, energy, and heart to make Pack 232 such a positive and meaningful experience. Your dedication helps create memories and lessons that will last far beyond Scouting.

And to our families — thank you for trusting us to be part of your children’s journey. Together, we are helping raise future adults who are kind, trustworthy, brave, respectful, and prepared to make a difference in the world.

We are so proud of every Scout and excited to see what next year brings. Congratulations to all of our advancing Scouts, and thank you for another fantastic year at Pack 232! 🐾💙💛

Our scouts took on “Bears on Bikes” tonight, and what an evening it was! 🚲🐻 The air was definitely on the chilly side, but that didn’t stop the smiles, laughter, and determination. There’s something special about a crisp evening ride—cool air, great company, and scouts pushing themselves and having fun together. Proud of everyone who showed up, bundled up, and made the most of a beautiful (and brisk!) night!

Our Lion den had a blast completing their Mountain Lion adventure with a hike at Forest River Park. These scouts went above and beyond, hiking for 1.25 miles!

They saw lots of birds, squirrels, and a wooly bear caterpillar, which was the group favorite.
