Sister Mary Agnes of the Divine Bridegroom was a grant recipient in 2011 and is now a fully professed Poor Clare with the Poor Clares of Rockford, IL. She wrote us this lovely thank you note which we wanted to share with all of you, who also love religious life and vocations.

Sister Mary Agnes had $18,000 in student loan debt remaining when she discovered she was called to the life of a cloistered nun. Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to remove the obstacle of her debt so that she could enter the cloister.

The gift of her masses and her life of prayer is priceless. Thanks be to God!

We’re honored to introduce our most recent grant recipients — five men and women who are offering their hearts and lives in response to Christ's loving call.

These vocations are the result of two “yeses.” These grant recipients said a courageous "yes" to discerning religious life, and our donors said a generous "yes" to removing the obstacle of their student loan debt so they can enter formation right away.

Please join us in praying for them as they discern!

Today marks the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas, when candles are blessed to remind us of Christ, the Light of the World.

On this day, the Church also celebrates the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, honoring women and men who reflect Christ’s light through lives of vowed service. Like the warmth of a candle's flame, their lives of poverty, chastity, and obedience illuminate a world of darkness and sin, pointing us all to our joyful homeland in the life to come.

Today, we give thanks—and we pray—for this irreplaceable gift to the Church!

Raised on a small farm in Pennsylvania, Patrick’s childhood was shaped by hard work, family prayer, and weekday Mass. “We prayed the Rosary as a family,” he remembers. “Mass was just part of life.”

From milking cows to serving at the altar at St. Michael’s in Scranton, his faith was quietly formed in the rhythms of home and parish.

It wasn’t until after college, while working as a mechanical engineer, that Patrick began to consider a priestly vocation.

“ l began to see the real emptiness of the world,” he says, “and the dire need for priests.”

Through prayer and discernment, the call deepened. At last, Patrick was ready to enter except for the obstacle of his student loan debt.

Thanks be to God, our generous donors made it possible for him to give a full “yes” to God!

Today, Patrick is in formation with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, preparing to serve Christ and His people at the altar.

Please pray for Patrick and for all other men and women discerning the call to serve God in priestly and consecrated vocations!

Raised Catholic but not really knowing God, Sr. Raphaelle Marie Condon drifted away from the faith during college. But chasing freedom left her feeling more empty.

“I thought I knew what was best for my life… I was wrong. Nothing that the world promises would make me happy actually gave me any happiness.”

At her lowest point, she prayed a simple, desperate prayer:
“God, if You exist, and if You care about me at all, help me. Just put me where You want me.” That prayer changed everything.

After transferring to St. Francis University in PA, she had a radical reversion to the Church. She encountered a living faith through the Franciscan TOR Friars () and Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus who had a presence on campus. “I saw in them a joy, a peace, a love, a purpose that I didn’t have—and I wanted it.” Her faith, she says, awoke “like a sleeping lion.”

As her relationship with God deepened, she discovered a call to religious life. “I knew I couldn’t live my life without the Lord anymore. Whatever He had planned would be better than any of my plans.” In 2013, thanks to generous supporters of the Fund for Vocations who took over her student loans, she entered religious life with the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, professing final vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience in 2020.

Today, Sr. Raphaelle Marie lives with deep joy. “There is no greater honor in this world. God chose me to be His own.”

God is still calling and moving hearts today to love Him unconditionally in consecrated and religious life. If you or anyone you know needs assistance with student loans in order to enter religious formation, please reach out to us!

What a joy it was to see so many friends and grant recipients at SEEK2026! Swipe to see hundreds of students praying Night Prayer in Mission Way on the final evening, thanks to the many wonderful Dominicans who were present.

The Church is alive and well. It was inspiring and hopeful to see the packed ballroom for the lunchtime Q & A with Religious Sisters and to witness the enthusiasm and openness of young Catholics to religious life.

Many of our grant recipients are now serving as vocations directors for their orders or giving talks to the large crowds who gathered in all the SEEK locations. This is the holy ripple effect of vocations. When the lay faithful clear the way for one vocation, that priest or sister is able to inspire and touch the lives of many!

If you or someone you know is discerning religious life but held back by student loan debt, please send them our way! It is a gift to be able to unlock new vocations thanks to the generosity of our donors.

A huge thank you to for this wonderful event.
