Power of the Purse

The Power of the Purse (POP) Fund is a women's giving circle dedicated to strengthening the community by providing grant funds to non-profit organizations serving the interests of women & girls. Members of POP seek to educate and inspire other, and increase the number of women committed to philanthropy. Make a difference among women in the community by promoting
volunteer

ism and effective philanthropy through our pooled
resources.

3. Encourage self-sufficiency and well-being among those in need
5. Build a network that is a catalyst for positive change

Grants

Power of the Purse accepts grant requests for new or existing projects that focus of meeting the basic needs of food, shelter, or health care for women or children. The POP Membership will review all proposals at their May meeting. The top three organizations will be invited to attend the POP Fall Meeting to provide a presentation to the membership. After the presentations, POP Members will vote on the recipient. The selected organization will be announced at the Annual Grant Gala in December. To date, more than $70,000 has been awarded from the Power of the Purse Fund. Membership Rights and Responsibilities

Focus on Youth was awarded "The Power of the Purse" grant from the Northern Cincinnati Foundation! The Power of the Purse (POP) Fund is a women's giving circle dedicated to strengthening the community by providing grant funds to non-profit organizations serving the interests of women & children in the northern Cincinnati region.
