Why We Exist
The Dylan Project was born out of a desire to make a difference for families facing childhood cancer. Our founder, Mike Dechristopher, started with one simple mission: to bring joy to children fighting a battle no child should ever face. Through gifts, donations, and community involvement, we strive to create lasting memories for these children and ease the emotional and financial burdens on their families. The Dylan Project organization and its programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, s*x, gender identity, s*xual orientation, age, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing joy and support to children with cancer and their families, The Dylan Project upholds the highest standards of inclusivity, compassion, and respect in every aspect of our mission. The holiday season is quickly approaching, and The Dylan Project is gearing up for one of our biggest and most meaningful initiatives of the year — our Holiday Gift Giving Campaign!

❤️ We already have 66 children on our holiday gift list, and that number continues to grow!

For families navigating childhood cancer, the holidays can bring additional stress and uncertainty. Our goal is simple: bring joy to these children and their siblings, create special memories, and help take one more worry off their parents’ plates.

With the generosity of our incredible community, we can make that happen!

🎗️ It’s that time of year again — our biggest program of the year is officially underway!

The Dylan Project’s Annual Holiday Gift Giving Campaign is in full swing, and this year, the need is already greater than ever. ❤️

Last year, because of the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to support:
🎁 22 families
💛 59 kids
🎄 570 gifts
🦃 4 Thanksgiving meals
🍽️ 2 Christmas meals

And this year, we already have 62 kids signed up — and that number continues to grow.

Our goal is simple: to help take a little of the burden off families navigating childhood cancer and make sure their children and siblings experience the joy and magic of the holiday season.

✨ We are collecting financial donations through mid-November, and every donation — big or small — helps us fill wish lists and bring joy to these incredible kids.

💛 September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month 💛

For The Dylan Project, this month means so much.

Pediatric cancer awareness isn't something we think about only in September. Supporting children battling cancer and the families walking alongside them is at the heart of everything we do, all year long.

But September gives us an important opportunity to shine an even brighter light on these families, share our mission and remind our community that there are so many ways to make a difference.

And right now, we need your help.
🎁 Our Holiday Gift-Giving Program is in full swing. If you know a family with a child battling pediatric cancer who could use some extra support this holiday season, please share The Dylan Project with them. We want to reach the families who need us.

🎄 Help us make the holidays brighter. If you or your company would be interested in sponsoring a family or supporting our holiday efforts, we'd love to connect.

💛 Donate or get involved. We're always looking for individuals and businesses who believe in our mission and want to help us continue supporting families impacted by pediatric cancer.

🏁 7 Miles. One Mission. What an incredible day! 💙💛

The Falmouth Road Race may be over, but the impact of this amazing day will continue long after we crossed the finish line.

From everyone at The Dylan Project, THANK YOU. 💛

Thank you to every person who donated, shared our fundraiser, cheered us on, and stopped along the route to say hello and show your support. Seeing so many familiar faces out there meant more than you know.

And most importantly, a huge thank you to our incredible team of runners. You trained, fundraised, showed up, and took on all 7 miles for The Dylan Project and the children and families we support. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and heart you gave to our mission.

Every mile run, every dollar raised, and every person who supported our team helps us continue providing meaningful assistance to families navigating pediatric cancer. 💙

Unlike our holiday program, Mid-Year Magic provides assistance with everyday essentials such as:

💛 Other urgent household expenses
