🇺🇸 July 3, 1776

The day after voting for independence, the Continental Congress devoted July 3 to revising Thomas Jefferson’s draft of the Declaration of Independence.

Delegates debated the language line by line, making dozens of changes before the document’s final approval. While Jefferson authored the original draft, the Declaration ultimately became the work of the Congress as a whole.

These revisions prepared the document for its historic adoption on July 4, 1776.

Today we remember the U.S. landing at Normandy, France in 1944. A massive air and sea invasion by Allied Forces that began the liberation of Western Europe from N**i Germany's control. We will not forget the sacrifice made by nearly 10,000 brave soldiers on that day.
