Explain how the I-CBT model conceptualizes OCD as a disorder of inference rather than an overestimation of threat.

Identify the importance of using I-CBT to fidelity and not piecemeal in order to be truly providing I-CBT.

List three ways in which I-CBT as a primarily cognitive model differs from traditional behavioral approaches to treating

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Describe key features that differentiate harm-related obsessive–compulsive disorder (harm-OCD) from suicidal ideation (SI) and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) urges.

2. Compare and analyze evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches for Harm OCD versus SI and NSSI, and identify common clinical errors related to misclassification.

3. Describe interdisciplinary strategies to plan coordinated care that supports diagnostic accuracy, appropriate treatment, and patient safety.
