Meet Christian Ameze

A Black owned MBE general contractor leading the build of the KEYS Healing Village in Baltimore

Here is what the community can expect over the next 30 to 60 days

• Site mobilization begins
Concrete and site contractors will be on location preparing the grounds

• Construction hours
Large vehicles will operate between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM

• What you will see
Heavy equipment
Active site crews

• Traffic and parking
All contractor parking will stay on site
This is designed to keep neighborhood streets clear and reduce impact on residents

This project is moving from vision to reality and we are committed to building it with transparency, care and respect for the community.

The start of construction is officially underway and Baltimore showed up big.
 This wasn’t just an event… it was a declaration that healing, access, and community power belong right here.

Special thanks to Mayor Brandon Scott, Senator Antonio Hayes, Governor Wes Moore, Councilman John Bullock, Karren Miller, Mary Catherine Pugh, Ajah Doswell, Cornic Construction, Innovation Works, Baker Donelson, Connections Academy Choir, Eminent Security Services, Shamiah Kerney (Deputy City Administrator), and Chief Recovery Officer Elizabeth Tatum for standing with us on this historic day.

This is the beginning of something Baltimore has been waiting for.

Food deserts significantly impact Black children by limiting their access to nutritious foods and often providing greater availability of unhealthy, calorie-dense options, which can contribute to food insecurity and negative health outcomes, including obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

Many Black families and children live in areas lacking full-service grocery stores and are disproportionately affected by food insecurity due to factors like limited access to transportation and systemic issues like food redlining.
