A common myth is that homelessness only affects the people experiencing it. In reality, homelessness impacts the entire community through increased use of emergency services, healthcare systems, crisis response resources, and public infrastructure.

As housing and living costs continue to rise, more individuals and families are at risk of housing instability.

WA-RISE is committed to educating the community, sharing facts, and encouraging informed conversations about homelessness and the challenges facing our neighbors. Understanding the issue is an important step toward building effective solutions.

πŸ₯« COMMUNITY RESOURCE UPDATE πŸ₯«

When we shared our first food pantry resource post, we were amazed by the response. It quickly became one of our most viewed and shared posts, showing just how important it is for our community to have access to accurate information about local resources.

Because of that support, we're sharing even more food pantry information available throughout West Allis.

Whether you're facing a temporary hardship, stretching your budget between paychecks, helping a neighbor, or simply looking for resources to keep on hand, these food pantries are here to help.

Our goal is to make sure residents know what support is available and how to access it.

Please take a moment to review the flyer and share it with friends, family, neighborhood groups, schools, faith communities, and anyone who may benefit.
