The WVIS has been awarding scholarships to deserving Wenham residents seeking higher education since 1951. The Scholarship fund is financed from WVIS income and helped by memorial gifts and donations. Since the program's inception, the WVIS has awarded over $700,000.

WVIS humbly celebrates International Women’s Day as one of America’s oldest women-led organizations. Our roots in Wenham run deep, and we are so proud to be a part of this community since our inception in 1893.
We are still buzzing from a successful 2nd annual “Women & Words” event last week at the Tea House to kick off Women’s History Month. We partnered with Paper & String Books, Plat Du Jour Bistro, and Sweetbrier Studios, who collectively presented a wonderful selection of inspiring books written by women, elegant appetizers and wines, and beautiful flowers to share… thank you to these wonderful local businesses and to all who attended!

Get ready for summer fun - Camp Whirlygig member registration opens on WEDNESDAY!

🌞 On JANUARY 15, registration goes live for Wenham Museum and WVIS members to enroll in Camp Whirlygig summer camp.

🌞Enrollment for the general public opens on JANUARY 21.

Camp Whirlygig is a summer camp at Wenham Museum in partnership with WVIS - Wenham Village Improvement Society that fosters fun, friendship, and curiosity.

Geared to young campers ages 4 – 10, Camp Whirlygig provides a caring and supportive environment to ensure a comfortable summer camp experience for young children. With our experienced staff, safe environment, and wide range of activities, Camp Whirlygig will be the highlight of your child's summer!
