Partners for Prevention in Allegany County is a Drug Free Communities Coalition, founded in 1998. Since then, coalition members have engaged the local community on issues regarding the prevention on alcohol and substance abuse among youth, families, and community. The Environmental Strategies Committee of PPAC will be communicating to the citizens of Allegany County regarding all of our upcoming e
vents and information that you care about, such as our local Pill Drops, our DWI Crackdown initiatives, our Underage Drinking Deterrence Initiative, MethBusters Campaign, and Responsible Beverage Service certification opportunities! We want you to be informed of our local prevention efforts. This committee is being led by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office and includes our local and state police agencies, including the NYS DEC and NY State Police, ACASA, to***co control, and STOP DWI programs. The Environmental Strategies committee is an ad-hoc group of law enforcement agencies and individuals, prevention specialists, and key leaders that meet to implement evidenced-based strategies to reduce risks.
