✨COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT✨
This month's Community Spotlight is My Brother's Place in Wellston. We are asking our vendors and anyone else in the community to donate items to help support this awesome resource in our community. We will be collecting donations the night of the market. So make sure to come out and support our vendors and this great community event.
Here is more about what they do and what they need from Vicki Rupert:
"Items that we get requests for but cannot order from the Food Bank is bread and buns, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoos, conditioners, body cream, deodorants, baby diapers, baby wipes, laundry detergent, dish soaps and kitchen size trash bags.
We also always accept monetary donations toward our Food Pantry food orders. Any type of monetary donation goes toward purchasing food items for our Food Pantry. Any revenue made in our store goes toward purchasing food for our Food Pantry which in turn we offer FREE Food Boxes to our community.
Our Free Food Boxes usually contain canned vegetables, potatoes, mac n cheese, spaghetti, various soups, canned fruits, milk, cereals, peanut butter, raisins, beans, flour, cooking oil, spaghetti Os, canned beef stews, rice, protein like hamburger and or hot dogs, chicken, pizza, pizza rolls, cheeses, sometimes fresh lettuce and veggies, frozen biscuits, etc....
Each month boxes can be a little different.. just to give you an idea of the contents of our FREE Food Boxes. We try to give what you and I might buy for ourselves at the store. Food items people like but good ordinary healthy food too.
Those items I listed earlier in the second paragraph are all items we cannot get from the Southeastern Ohio Food Bank but that we get requests for. Those types of items would help our Food Pantry as well as the Food we purchase."
