🔎🤔🔎 Think you know your Wellington Parks? Here’s a chance to show your skills! 🔎🤔🔎

I Find: Wellington Parks & Recreation Edition asks participants to identify the Wellington park based on a clue given about a specific unique item found there. There are 10 clues, one each from a different park.

Participants either take a picture of the object, draw a picture of it, or write a story about it. Every youth participant who submits an entry will qualify for a
drawing for a free recreation youth sports registration.

The contest, which is a collaboration between Town of Wellington Parks and Recreation and the Parks, Recreation, Open Spaces, and Trails Advisory Board, closes Aug. 29. The Drawing takes place Sept. 2.

The contest booklet — which has complete rules and instructions for submitting entries — is available at www.wellingtoncolorado.gov/DocumentCenter/View/5237/V3ScavengerHunt or by scanning the QR code in the image with this post. Copies will also be available at the Town of Wellington tent at the 4th of July Festival at Wellington Community Park.

Happy hunting to all who participate!

Town Of Wellington PROST Master Plan

07/03/2025

🎆🚨🎆 WHAT TO KNOW FOR THE FIREWORKS 🎆🚨🎆

Wellington's 4th of July fireworks display is slated for 9:30 p.m. Friday on the east side of Sixth Street, across from the Eyestone Elementary School campuses.

While the parking lots at both Eyestone Elementary South and Eyestone Elementary North are available for parking, only the Eyestone South field is available for spectators. The Eyestone North field is not available.

The Wellington Community Band will play a free concert from the Eyestone South parking lot at 7:30 p.m. as spectators gather. Also, Boy Scout Troop 94 is hosting a fundraiser from 5-9 p.m. in the viewing area. Scouts will be selling food as well as a pay-to-see attraction to benefit the troop.

As in years past, a tribute video will play on a screen in the viewing area before the show starts.

Finally, synchronized music is available for the show by tuning in to 97.1 FM at 9:39 p.m.

We hope to see you at the show!

❗CSU LOCAL NEWS STUDY❗

Are you 18 or older and living in Wellington? Colorado State University (Journalism and Media Communication at Colorado State University) is studying how the lack of local news affects how people stay informed and involved in their community.

You’re invited to participate in a conversation about local news in Wellington. You’ll be asked about how you get your news, your trust in media, and how engaged you are with your community. Your participation is completely voluntary, participants are only required to attend one meeting. All responses are confidential.

As a thank-you, you will receive a $25 gift card.

The meetings take place at 5:30 p.m. July 16 or 17 at the Leeper Center, 3800 Wilson Ave. in Wellington. Food will be provided.
