Thank you to all who purchased cookies from our girls! Thanks to you our troop sold an amazing 12,423 boxes of cookies!!

With the money earned the girls have several adventures planned already! They will be kayaking at Raccoon, whitewater rafting at Ohiopyle, enjoying a weekend at Thomlinson, horseback riding at Faith Ranch, and swimming at the wavepool. They were also able to plant two community gardens in Weirton and have already hosted a super fun pinewood derby!

Their cookie earnings also covered all of their membership renewal fees, vests for those bridging and the bridging ceremony. And it will fund our program for this fall (badges, activities, snacks).

So as you can see, cookie sales are so important to our program. We appreciate all of your support so very much!! See you all next cookie season! 😁💚🍪

Get ready Weirton! The Girl Scouts are making one last push for cookies today. We will be spreading out in small groups across town going door to door and visiting businesses starting at 2:00! This will be our last cookie sale of the year.

The girls are competing for some awesome prizes today. The group that sells out first will win gift cards to the place of their choice! So help them out and buy some cookies when you see them. 😁🍪

If you would like us to visit your neighborhood or business, just let us know. Cookies also make a great incentive to give out to your employees and customers. Big thank you to State Farm for buying cases for each of their locations! We appreciate it very much

In Girl Scouts we love to celebrate the holidays! We always do something fun with the girls. We have an Easter party with the Easter bunny and a Halloween costume party with pumpkin painting. At Christmas, we're always in the parade and the girls decorate their own float. And our favorite is Thanksgiving, when we host a big Thanksgiving dinner for our GS families. During this event we include a coat and clothing swap so no Girl Scout will be without a coat and warm clothes for winter. We are so thankful for our scouts, their families, our leaders, the church, the Weirton community for supporting us, and this wonderful Girl Scout organization. 💚🥰

Our cadettes have a stretch goal of cookies to sell each year which pays for an extra special adventure for older girls. This past year we had several hit that goal and were able to go to Girl Fest at Ace Adventure Resort! They went white water rafting, zipling through the New River Gorge, traded swaps with girl scouts from all over the country, etc. It was a blast! This year they are working toward a Girl Scout adventure at Disney World.

Thank you to everyone who came out to buy cookies this past weekend! The girls sold 1,756 boxes of cookies! Amazing! Can we beat that number this weekend? We'll be in front of Walmart again this Saturday and Sunday 10-4. Stop by and see us! And remember we also have a virtual booth, where we deliver cookies right to your door at no extra charge. 💚🍪

Another super fun activity the girls did with their cookie proceeds this past year- they spent the night at the Oglebay Zoo! During their stay that got a behind the scenes tour, went on a hike, made enrichment toys for the monkeys, lemurs, and red pandas, and disected owl pellets! They had a blast and learned alot about the animals at the zoo. 🐒🦥🦘💚

Every summer the girls go on a family campout at the group camp at Thomlinson Run! The do fun badge work, team building activities, spend evenings around the camp fire making smores and stone soup, and have lots of fun in the sun! It's always a great time for all of our families! Every year around Christmas the girls spend an all expense paid weekend in the lodge at Camp Giscoweco Girl Scout Camp. They watch Polar Express, make smores, and participate in lots of fun games and activities. All paid for with cookie funds!
