An anonymous donor gifted a zoo sanctuary a twirling baton after seeing a baby gorilla dancing with pieces of hay.
The sanctuary received donations from visitors all the time, but one package immediately stood out. Inside was a small twirling baton and a note saying it was for the young gorilla who had recently gone viral after staff caught him spinning around and dancing while waving pieces of dry grass through the air.
Staff knew exactly who the gift belonged to. When they brought the baton into his enclosure, the little gorilla grabbed it and ran off before eventually doing exactly what everyone hoped, twirling it around while bouncing and dancing across the grass.
Staff shared photos of his new routine online, and people couldn’t get enough of it. Apparently, all he needed was someone to upgrade his equipment.
