Eco Clean Guardians was in Jersey City this past weekend, and we cleaned up!

This route was a Severe Impact Zone, but the EcoClean team showed up strong and stayed focused, clearing sidewalks, curbs, roadside vegetation, and storm‑drain areas while documenting every pound.

Councilwoman Troisi jumped in to help and brought ice pops that absolutely saved us. After we cleared the marina, ducks literally walked right up to us like they were checking out the clean shoreline. Two locals stopped by to say, “Thank you for what you do — it’s needed.”

We also gained several strong Elmwood Park workers who want to join future ECG cleanups, a huge win for the community.

Big thanks to Elmwood Park Police for blocking off the I‑80 ramps and DPW for picking up all the bags.

Issues flagged: • Clogged sewer grate on the Locust St. I‑80 on‑ramp • Seven dead pigeons + heavy waste under the I‑80 underpass

Elmwood Park showed real grit and pride. We’d love to come back and make an even bigger impact.
