Our purpose is to use miniature horses to enhance the quality of life of those we serve. Individuals of all ages and limitations with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral disabilities find comfort, empowerment, self-esteem, unconditional love, strength, therapeutic interaction & value while working with the miniature horses. Honey's Mini Therapy Adventures brings our therapy horses all over Central Florida. We visit Tampa General Hospital, Saint Leo University, Pasco Hernando State College, University of Central Florida. In addition to these organizations, smaller nursing homes and pediatric/adult rehabilitation centers weekly. Our visits also impact the staff; everyone from patients to guests seems to respond positively to the tiny horses. For example, in our most recent Tampa General Hospital visit, we were told numerous times, "This little, tiny horse just made my entire day; You have no idea how much I needed this." Another staff member states, "All her anxiety and stress washed away." If the tiny horse positively impacts someone's day that we crossed paths with in a hospital, then it's worth all the hard work that goes in behind the scenes to facilitate our therapy visits. So many different populations/backgrounds and ages can benefit from the unique service our handlers and tiny horses provide. These horses may be miniature, but their impact on the community we serve is tremendous.

A little horse. A new connection. A first step toward learning to handle big feelings. 🐴💛

Today we kicked off our first Equine Wellness Session at Giunta Middle School!

We started with a weather-inspired mood check-in—because some days feel sunny, others feel rainy, and sometimes there’s a little of both. 🌤️🌧️ Every feeling had a place in our group.

Students met our miniature horse Priss, explored emotions and the signals we bring into our interactions, and learned the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding skill. Two students helped demonstrate how noticing our senses can bring our attention back to the present moment.

These first visits are about building trust, getting curious, and giving students tools they can carry into everyday life.

Thank you, Giunta Middle School, for welcoming Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures. We’re excited to keep learning together—one hoofbeat at a time! 🐴✨

Tiny hooves. TWO children’s hospitals. One very important little Faith. 🐴💖✨

Faith trotted into Orlando today for our monthly visits to Orlando Health Children’s and AdventHealth Children’s—because sometimes the best part of a hospital day has four hooves and a very boopable nose. 🥹🐴

For the kiddos, their families, and the incredible teams caring for them, we love bringing a little horse-sized happiness right to their doors. 💛

Small enough to ride the elevator. Big enough to make the day. That’s our Faith. 🫶

Sometimes, two little letters carry so much weight: NO. ❤️

Honey’s was grateful to return to our human trafficking survivor groups for a session on healthy boundaries and learning how to say no without feeling guilty.

You are allowed to need space. You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to say, “I’m not comfortable with that.” And even when guilt shows up, your boundary still deserves respect.

Alongside our miniature therapy horses, we made space for these conversations and the reminder that each person’s voice, choices, and needs matter. 🐴🍯

The feedback collected throughout this program encourages us to keep showing up. Across 18 survey responses:
❤️ 100% reported enjoying the session.
❤️ 94% reported feeling less stressed or happier.
❤️ 100% wanted to participate again.
❤️ 82% of valid responses reported learning a useful skill or lesson.

These results reflect surveys collected across visits, including repeat participants. The skill question had 17 valid responses.

Behind those numbers are opportunities to practice a boundary, experience connection, and leave with something useful to carry into everyday life.

We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in Honey’s and the opportunity to continue this work.

Your “no” deserves to be heard. Your “yes” deserves to be your choice. And you deserve kindness and respect in both. ❤️

We get a lot of questions about what our horses do on their days off! 🐴💗

When they aren’t out on visits, our horses are busy grazing, getting groomed, enjoying treats, training, roaming their pasture, and spending time with their herd.

In other words, they get to simply be horses on their days off—and on the days they’re out visiting hospitals, schools, senior centers, first responders, and more, they get to share their special gift of providing comfort and connection. 🐴💕

Little hooves, big hearts, and a very special first visit! 🐴❤️🇺🇸

Today, Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures visited the James A. Haley VA medical clinic in Tampa for the first time, and Priss was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t be prouder of our sweet girl as she helped us bring a little Honey’s love to veterans and the staff who care for them. 🍯💛

A huge thank-you to McKnight Law Group for coming out and volunteering with us! Having you share your time and hearts made this first visit even more special.

There is something powerful about a connection that doesn’t require the right words—just a gentle presence, a soft nose, and a moment to pause together. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who have served and support the people caring for them every day.

We have a feeling this is the beginning of a pretty incredible relationship. Priss certainly put her best hoof forward! 🐴✨

Our therapy horses added a few new titles to their credentials! 🏆🐴💛

Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures headed to AMHR Nationals and the AMHA World Show, where some of the same horses who bring comfort to hospital rooms, classrooms, and our community stepped into the spotlight with our tiniest handler, Autumn!

🌟 Rocket — Came home an AMHR National Champion in Color

🌟 Wyatt, aka Baby Hippo — World Champion in Youth Driving Obstacle with Autumn! He also earned World Champion in Amateur Senior Gelding Halter 30” & Under with Mary Rose. Tiny horse, BIG résumé!

🌟 Doc — Reserve World Champion with Autumn in Youth Showmanship, Jumper, AND Halter Obstacle, plus 3rd in Stock Halter out of 24 horses! Together, they also earned the High Point One Horse, One Handler award!

🌟 Priss — National Champion in Youth Showmanship 8–12 and Reserve National Champion in Youth Halter Obstacle at AMHR Nationals, followed by World Champion in Youth Halter Obstacle at AMHA Worlds!

We are so proud of Autumn and the trust, patience, and teamwork she shares with these incredible horses. Whether they’re helping someone through a difficult day or navigating a championship obstacle course, these little horses give us their whole hearts. 💛

A huge THANK YOU to the AMHA youth sponsors for supporting our young exhibitors! 100X Equine generously donated a half gallon of GutX to EVERY youth, Stud Muffins supplied treats, and Mane ’n Tail provided shampoo to keep our horses looking their best! Thank you also to Starpoint Horsemanship, Wedgewood Pharmacy, Mrs. Pasture’s Cookies, and Pyranha for helping make the youth experience so special!

What an incredible honor it is for Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures to be recognized as a finalist in the Nonprofit category for Tampa Bay Business & Wealth’s Philanthropists of the Year Awards. 🐴☀️

What started with one tiny horse and a big dream has grown into something far beyond what we ever imagined.

Today, our miniature therapy horses are walking into schools, hospitals, behavioral health programs, pediatric care settings, and community organizations across Central Florida, creating connection in places where it is needed most.

Our school-based mental wellness programs give students opportunities to learn coping skills, emotional regulation, trust, communication, and healthy ways to manage stress.

Our hospital and healthcare programs bring comfort to patients, families, nurses, physicians, and staff during some of the most difficult and exhausting moments of their lives.

And one of the programs closest to our hearts has been our work with survivors of human trafficking, using the horses to help create a safe environment where trust, boundaries, connection, and healing can begin.

But Honey’s is so much more than a program.

It is a TEAM. ☀️

It is the people who show up week after week, haul horses, prepare them, clean stalls, drive across counties, walk hospital hallways, stand beside children who are struggling, support families, encourage survivors, and give their time because they believe in this mission.

To our volunteers, handlers, staff, Board, community partners, supporters, donors, grant partners, and every single person who has helped Honey’s grow — thank you.

And of course, none of this would exist without the smallest members of our team. 🐴♥️ Our tiny horse crew continues to remind us every single day that you don’t have to be big to make an enormous impact.

We are incredibly grateful to Tampa Bay Business & Wealth for recognizing the work happening through Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures and for shining a light on organizations making a difference throughout our community.

No matter what happens next, being recognized among so many incredible organizations is something our entire Honey’s family is incredibly proud of.

From one tiny horse named Honey… to thousands of moments of comfort, connection, courage, and hope.
