Our purpose is to use miniature horses to enhance the quality of life of those we serve. Individuals of all ages and limitations with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral disabilities find comfort, empowerment, self-esteem, unconditional love, strength, therapeutic interaction & value while working with the miniature horses. Honey's Mini Therapy Adventures brings our therapy horses all ov

er Central Florida. We visit Tampa General Hospital, Saint Leo University, Pasco Hernando State College, University of Central Florida. In addition to these organizations, smaller nursing homes and pediatric/adult rehabilitation centers weekly. Our visits also impact the staff; everyone from patients to guests seems to respond positively to the tiny horses. For example, in our most recent Tampa General Hospital visit, we were told numerous times, "This little, tiny horse just made my entire day; You have no idea how much I needed this." Another staff member states, "All her anxiety and stress washed away." If the tiny horse positively impacts someone's day that we crossed paths with in a hospital, then it's worth all the hard work that goes in behind the scenes to facilitate our therapy visits. So many different populations/backgrounds and ages can benefit from the unique service our handlers and tiny horses provide. These horses may be miniature, but their impact on the community we serve is tremendous.

The health and well-being of our therapy horses is always our top priority because they spend countless hours bringing comfort, healing, and smiles to others. Every hospital visit, school program, behavioral health session, and community event starts with horses that are healthy, happy, and feeling their best.

A healthy digestive system helps horses efficiently utilize nutrients, maintain a strong immune system, and perform at their best, while proper bone and joint support helps keep them comfortable and active as they continue their important work in our community.

🇺🇸🐴 Today, we pause to remember that freedom is never free.

At Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures, we are deeply grateful for the brave men and women who have served our country — especially the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could live, dream, and serve our communities freely.

As our tiny therapy horses spend their days bringing comfort to veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, children, and families, we are reminded that acts of service come in many forms. Today, however, we honor those whose service cost them everything.

Their courage, sacrifice, and love for this country will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

🐴💛 Dumpling spent the day visiting seniors, and once again this tiny horse reminded us how powerful simple connection can be. 💛🐴

In senior communities, many residents quietly face loneliness, grief, memory loss, declining health, and isolation. But the moment Dumpling walks through the doors, everything changes. Conversations start flowing. Smiles appear. Memories come rushing back.

Some residents share stories about horses they owned decades ago. Others simply sit quietly, soaking in the comfort of petting a soft little horse standing beside them. For many, these visits become the highlight of their week.

Equine-assisted visits in senior care settings can help:
✨ Reduce feelings of loneliness and depression
✨ Encourage social interaction and communication
✨ Stimulate memory recall in individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s
✨ Lower stress and anxiety

Huge thank you to for supporting our nonprofit and helping us care for our miniature therapy horses! 🐴💛

We absolutely love these Hay Pillows for all things around the farm and on the road. We use them in stalls, out in the pastures, and during transport to keep our horses comfortable, happy, and occupied. The horses know these bags always hold the good stuff!

This week, Dumpling visited AdventHealth, bringing moments of calm, comfort, and connection to patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. 💙

In hospitals, people are often experiencing some of the hardest moments of their lives — fear, grief, stress, uncertainty, burnout, and isolation. But then a miniature therapy horse walks around the corner… and suddenly people are smiling, laughing, taking a deep breath, or sharing stories they haven’t talked about in years.

That’s the power of equine therapy.

Horses naturally encourage emotional connection and grounding. Their calm presence helps people slow down, regulate emotions, and feel safe in the moment. In healthcare settings, therapy horses can help:

🐴💙 Sugarfoot spent the day bringing comfort, smiles, and a little bit of peace to the halls of AdventHealth. 💙

Hospitals can feel overwhelming for patients and families. There is fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, and emotional stress happening behind so many doors. But somehow, when Sugarfoot walks through the hallways, the atmosphere shifts. People stop. They smile. They breathe a little easier.

Miniature therapy horses create moments of connection in places where people often feel disconnected from normal life. For patients, a visit from Sugarfoot may be the first joyful moment they’ve experienced all day. For staff, it can provide a mental reset during long and emotionally demanding shifts.

Equine-assisted interactions in healthcare settings can help:

Behind every hospital visit, school program, nursing home visit, and moment of healing our miniature therapy horses provide… there’s a tremendous amount of care happening quietly behind the scenes. 🐴💛

Today was hay delivery day at Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures, and moments like this always remind us just how grateful we are for the sponsors, donors, grant funders, and community members who help keep our program moving forward.

Many people see the smiles during visits, but don’t always realize what it takes to keep a team of therapy horses healthy, safe, and ready for the important work they do. Proper nutrition and quality forage are the foundation of everything. Our horses must remain in optimal health and condition — from the inside out — to safely serve hospitals, behavioral health facilities, schools, pediatric centers, and senior communities across Florida.

Hay may seem simple, but it’s one of the biggest and most essential parts of caring for a therapy herd. It fuels long travel days, supports healthy digestion, maintains body condition, and helps our horses continue providing comfort to thousands of people each year.

Every bale unloaded today represents another visit… another patient smile… another child comforted… another exhausted healthcare worker getting a moment to breathe.
