Meet Ms. Isabella Otara. She is our HAPS ambassador who cares for these beautiful children who were in need of a home. She provides that and more for them. Please lift her up in prayer.
We've been notified that she has been taken to the hospital and diagnosed with Malaria. She is in need of the medicine to cure her of this horrible disease. The children need her to come home healthy.
Lift her, the children and the entire Kisii, Kenya region. This region is known to be a malaria-prone area.

Hi friends! We’re Ken and Danielle Strahan, and together we lead Hope’s Alive - a ministry fueled by loss, love, and a calling to bring lasting hope to the hurting.

Ken founded Hope’s Alive Poverty Solutions alongside his late wife, Jamie, with a vision to help the world’s most vulnerable - widows, orphans, and fatherless boys - rise with dignity and faith through sustainable micro-businesses and gospel-centered mentorship.

After both walking through deep valleys as widows and finding hope again, God brought us together in a new season - and now, as husband and wife, we carry this mission forward together. Danielle has stepped into this journey not just as a partner in marriage, but as a partner in purpose - helping to fulfill the dream God placed on Ken and Jamie’s hearts, now renewed and expanded through our shared story.

Through Hope’s Alive Poverty Solutions (HAPS), we invest in micro-businesses like chicken farms, fruit stands, sewing machines, and more — transforming lives in Kenya and beyond. Through Hope’s Alive Outdoors (HAO), we mentor boys from single-parent homes through outdoor adventures that build identity, confidence, and character.
