One week from today, August 18, 7 p.m.! Band rehearsal starts back! Come join us for a semester of fun music making. Remember, all are welcome, and encouraged, to join us! High school students, regular adults who want to get their instrument back in their face, band directors who want some playing time, anyone wanting to gain proficiency on a second or third instrument... Come one Come all!

Ahhhh!!! I forgot to do this on Monday, so we are now LESS than a week out from the first rehearsal of summer band! That being said... Calling all area musicians to join us for rehearsal Monday, June 2nd at 7 pm in the band room of the Fine Arts Building on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. This summer we will have one performance on July 4th in Rader Park for the annual celebration hosted by the City of Weatherford, Oklahoma and The Weatherford Rotary Club. Join Dr. Robert Pippin and I (Drey Hawkins) in putting together some great music for this wonderful town tradition!

PS. PLEASE SHARE to help musicians you may know, that we don't, know about this. We have kids from high school and college to seniors who still love playing their instrument so EVERYONE is welcome to play with us. Thanks in advance!

Join us one week from today, Wednesday April 23rd, for this semester's concert with the SWOSU Symphonic Band! Concert starts at 7 pm, and will be in the Fine Arts Auditorium on SWOSU's campus. Bring your friends and family for a great night of music, including pieces conducted by 3 different grad students, and the world premiere of a piece written by SWOSU music student Nathan Pundsack for the community band! (To my knowledge this will be the first time the community band premieres a piece. Super exciting!!)

It's sure to be a great time!
