This message from one of our clients reminds us why this work matters so deeply. Restoring land, protecting homes, and bringing peace of mind back to families after devastation isn’t just construction. It’s rebuilding hope.

We’re honored to be part of stories like this one. 💚

Big news for our little nonprofit 📰💙
We’re honored to be featured in the Mountaineer and recognized for the work happening across Haywood County. From rebuilding homes to supporting families after Hurricane Helene, this mission is powered by volunteers, partners, and a community that refuses to give up.

Every repaired home tells a story of hope, resilience, and neighbors helping neighbors. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far, we’re just getting started! 🛠️🏡

After 19 months without running water or a working toilet, this family finally has both again. 💙

Today marks a huge step forward as their camper was installed, giving them a safe and stable place to call home while we continue working toward securing a new singlewide replacement.

A huge thank you to Blue Collar Relief for providing the camper and helping make this possible. Stories like this remind us that rebuilding takes time, partnership, and a community that refuses to give up on its neighbors.

300 disaster preparedness bags packed. 💛

We’re grateful to the amazing volunteers from Grace Episcopal Church who came together during their community outreach day to help support preparedness efforts across our community.

This project was made possible through partnerships with Church World Service, Grace Episcopal Church, and Rebuild Haywood, with funding support from American Red Cross, Wine To Water, the Masonic Lodge, Church World Service, Ready Haywood, and the Episcopal grant program.

These kits will be distributed at future community education and awareness events throughout Haywood County to help families stay prepared and informed.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this effort to build a stronger, more resilient community.

Our community continues to show up for Haywood County. ❤️🛠️
Donations are rolling in, helping us rebuild what was lost after Hurricane Helene. Together, we’ve installed a new roof and underpinning on a home we gutted and restored, built a handicap ramp to ensure safe, ADA-accessible entry, added a small porch for better access, spread gravel for a new mobile home site, and replaced underpinning that was torn out by high winds.
Every project is more than construction, it’s a step toward stability and getting families back home.

Meet the newest addition to the crew, Grand Daddy Long Bed! 😎
He’s a pickup that’s already getting put to work, helping us move supplies and deliver donations across Haywood County. Not much for talking, but he pulls his weight, hauling supplies, delivering donations, and gets the job done. Thank you to Independent Presbyterian Church Foundation, we are
glad to have him on the team! 🎉

A huge thank you to our incredible partners in recovery who are helping us build stronger, more resilient homes 💙

We’re especially grateful to Rebuild Haywood for providing a FORTIFIED Roof™ for one of our rebuilds in Swannanoa. Through a grant from The St. Bernard Project (SBP), we were able to collaborate and bring this added level of protection to a family in need.

Shoutout to Asheville Roofing, the only certified FORTIFIED roofing contractor in the area, for their expert work in making this possible!

FORTIFIED roofs are built to stand up to severe weather like hurricanes, high winds, and hail. With reinforced decking (ring shank nails), a sealed roof deck, and secured edges. These roofs don’t just rebuild homes, they strengthen them for the future.

Partnerships like these make lasting recovery possible. Thank you for helping us build back stronger 🏡✨

We’re excited to welcome Grantham to the Rebuild Haywood team! 💪🌱🏡

Through collaboration with the Saint Bernard Project, Rebuild Haywood is thrilled to become a designated AmeriCorps worksite. As an AmeriCorps Member, Grantham is stepping into the role of Project Lead and Logistics Coordinator, helping us organize, rebuild, and deliver support to communities impacted by Hurricane Helene here in Asheville, NC.

He brings several years of construction experience, starting hands-on and working his way up to running crews, coordinating projects, and keeping work on track. What drew him here is the impact and being part of fast-paced, meaningful disaster recovery work that helps families get back into their homes. He’s now helping manage project logistics and supply coordination to keep everything running smoothly in the field.

His leadership and dedication to service will play a key role in getting resources where they’re needed most and keeping our recovery efforts moving forward.

Join us in giving Grantham a warm welcome! 👏😁
