This image might be AI, but the need is real. We are very excited to have some bedding donations coming in, but we also need financial support to be able to move forward. We need around $5,000 to get lumber and other supplies for two practice bed builds that we're required to do before we can begin planning community build days. (Bed builds are when we assemble precut lumber to make headboards and side rails.)

Ongoing support also is needed. The estimated cost of each complete bed is $250 (this includes lumber, hardware, mattress, and pillow). Giving away beds is an expensive undertaking. We need community support to make this possible. Please consider making a financial donation, whether with a one-time gift or by joining our Bunk Head Club with a monthly recurring gift.

WANT TO GET HANDS-ON TO HELP US WITH OUR MISSION? Well, we're not quite ready for you yet. BUT.... If you complete our Volunteer Interest form, we'll reach out to you later this summer.

Thanks to the donation of nearly 50 beds from the Hagerstown chapter, we actually will need delivery volunteers sooner than we'll need volunteers to do bed builds.

We are thankful to the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to their mixer on Wednesday. John Baker (President) and Holly Burkett Ressler (Fundraising Manager) represented the chapter. Jackie and Veronica were very encouraging and made sure that we got to talk to everyone. Earlier this week, our Chapter President John Baker, met with Doug Thomas, the Manager at Store #2228 for Lowe's Home Improvement in Waynesboro. Doug is no stranger to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, having worked with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MD, Hagerstown when he was located at Store #0471 in Hagerstown. Lowe's is an amazing partner with SHP in getting kids off the floor, and we look forward to working with Doug and his staff to serve our community.
