Tonight, our BB and Rimfire shooters (and parents) gave out 4-H prizes, tshirts and hats, and over 600 free books tonight at PumpkinFest in downtown Waycross! We had a blast and gave out everything we had!!

We're 5 days away from our first practice of the season!! We are looking forward to welcoming our returning shooters and lots of new shooters this year! 4-H Shooting Sports is more than aiming at a target.

When youth ages 8-18 join the program, certified instructors teach with safety as the main focus using proven techniques to meet youth at their individual level and grow their skill set.

Through a variety of opportunities, youth explore their interests, build connections and confidence, and become leaders with a variety of life skills.

🎯🏆 Georgia 4-H State BB Competition 🏆🎯

Our Ware County BB Team recently traveled to compete in the Georgia 4-H State BB Competition — the world’s largest BB match, with over 500 competitors from across the state coming together for an incredible weekend of competition, leadership, and fellowship.

In addition to competing, several of our team members stepped up to serve and lead throughout the event.

⭐ Greyson Christmas and Allie Herrin volunteered by running targets, helping keep the match running smoothly.

⭐ Greyson Christmas, a National 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador, had the opportunity to speak during the awards ceremony. We are incredibly proud to see him represent Ware County and Georgia 4-H through his leadership and dedication to the shooting sports program.

• Pierce Mathis – 4th Place, Sitting Position (New Shooter Division)
• Olivia Mathis – Perfect 100 on the Safety Test 💯
• Aleeah Eason – Perfect 100 on the Safety Test 💯

From competing on the line to serving behind the scenes and leading in front of hundreds of participants, our shooters represented Ware County with pride. We are thankful for the memories made and proud of the growth we’ve seen in each of these young athletes.
