Today's the Day!!!!!!!

Looking for connection, friendship and a greater purpose?

If you’re retired, have a little extra time, and would love to meet new people while making a difference in our community, we’d love to have you join us at Waverly Activity Center.

The WACKy Women’s Club and Front Porch Men’s Fellowship are about more than monthly meetings. We enjoy good food, laughter, games and fellowship, but we also roll up our sleeves and work on projects that help others.

Our WACKy Women are already working on their third community project, planning and serving a dinner for Latrobe Street Mission.

Come see what we’re all about and join us today, September 25th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We’ll enjoy a covered-dish tailgate lunch together, then the women and men will work separately on their own projects.

Join us at the Waverly Activity Center and come make some new friends and be part of something with purpose.

A special thank you to the International Association of Ironworkers Local 787 of Parkersburg for their generous donation of canned vegetables for our Thanksgiving Boxes. This is our first donation for this year’s program, and we truly appreciate their support.

The Waverly Activity Center and Parkersburg Academy are teaming up again this year to provide Thanksgiving Boxes for local families. Last year, we provided 103 boxes, and this year our goal is 200.

We are looking for organizations interested in sponsoring or helping provide turkeys, produce, and other needed items.

Stay tuned for more information about this year’s Thanksgiving Box program and how you can help.
