This week in LifeWise Academy for our Waverly-Shell Rock Middle Schoolers we discussed the existence of sin and accountability. We talked about the importance of obeying law and authority—we bet your kids will listen extra well to their parents this week!😉

But seriously, we’re all human and we all fall short! Chat with your kids about these verses we covered and keep accounability conversations going ♥️

Meet one of our incredible volunteers, Lora Schipper!!
Lora and her husband, Mark, are parents to children Caleb, Hannah, and Benson as well as a mini bernedoodle, Wyatt. 🐾 Lora and Mark both grew up in Parkersburg but have lived in Waverly since being married. They are owners/operators of Advanced Water Treatment Systems. They attend Orchard Hill Church in Waverly where Lora sings on the worship team. Lora loves cross-stitching and doing puzzles. She joined the LifeWise volunteer team after signing her son, Benson, up for the program and looking for a meaningful way to serve, as well.
Lora said of her time at LifeWise so far: “I like to see the kid's excitement on the bus and see how intently they listen and participate in the lesson. It's nice to see kids who attend different churches be able to study the Bible with their school friends.”

I’ll bet you’ve never seen Old Testament learning be so FUN!! ✨ We’re three weeks in to our inaugural LifeWise Academy Bible-based character classes with W-SR 5th-8th graders and are so incredibly proud of this group for having hearts and minds set on God!🙌

We have ✨ 57 ✨ W-SR Middle School students enrolled in released-time LifeWise Academy classes!🙌 Once a week they use their Brain Break time to hear the word of God together.
Classes are FREE for the students and voluntary to enroll in—but we rely on community support and sponsorship to cover our costs of resources and rent.
