The state gem of Arkansas is the diamond. Did you know that Arkansas is home to the only active diamond mine in the United States? That's right, the Crater of Diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only active mine. It's also the only diamond mine site in the world where visitors can look for diamonds and keep what they find! Earlier this month someone found a 4.87-carat diamond in only 10 minutes of searching!
