WHO WE ARE: Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation Education is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Whitehouse, Ohio. We provide medical care to injured, orphaned or ailing wild animals, and conduct conservation educational outreach programs for children and adults. OUR MISSION: “Our mission is to improve the well-being of Northwest Ohio wildlife populations and habitats through public education and rehabilitation, with an emphasis on coexistence.”

EDUCATION: Through our community education programming, we reach over 15,000 children and adults through. We use our animal ambassadors to teach the importance of our local wild populations, how to protect their habitats and how best to live in harmony with the wildlife in our own backyards. OUR SUPPORTERS: As a privately supported organization, Nature’s Nursery relies on the generosity of the community through memberships, individual and corporate contributions, grants and community support organizations, such as Northwest Ohio Community Shares. Operating with a small staff, we are grateful for our dedicated volunteers who donate thousands of hours every year. Through donor philanthropy, volunteerism and community activism, Nature’s Nursery is able to educate the public about conservation issues, the value of wildlife and how to live in harmony with our wild surroundings to reduce human/wildlife conflict. Thank you to Bill O for making all do these nest boxes for us. There are going to be some very happy squirrels living in there this winter.

People have been asking how the hazmat emergency in Toledo may impact wildlife. The answer is...we just don't know.
It is fair to say that if human respiratory systems are being affected, that the smaller more delicate systems of animals are likely to be affected as well.
Additionally, we worry about wildlife who are fleeing the area encountering harm to themselves.
Nature's Nursery is open today and we can be reached via our wildlife hotline at 419-910-4038.
To all of our friends, followers and wildlife fans in the area, please be safe during this situation.
