13 hours. 7 dedicated art teachers. 1 raku kiln. And our very first Ceramics Celebration.

The weather was perfect, the energy was high, and the local art supporters came out. We couldn’t be prouder of our team and students for making this day so special. It was incredible to see so many community members engaging with student artists and celebrating the creative process together.

We are so grateful for the strong partnership between the Watertown Arts Council and the Watertown Unified School District K-12 Art Department. Thank you to Dave Pawl (our W.A.C. President) who wrote a grant to get the raku supplies for this event making everything possible.

Here’s to many more celebrations like this one!

Our next free community art event is Art and Compassion on November 19 at Watertown High School. If you are interested in participating we would love to have you! (see the attached form)
