Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization FDRHPO works to strengthen the System for Health for all individuals living in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
(1)

The Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization (FDRHPO) is a not-for-profit corporation that represents north country organizations and individuals to help impact the configuration of health care delivery systems and the allocation of resources to address community health needs and improve health outcomes. The area we serve includes Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties in northern New Y

ork. This rural region is one of the largest, most sparsely populated regions in the state. The entire region has been designated a low-income primary care health provider shortage area and has an insurance payer mix that is primarily government funded (Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE). Access to care is often made more difficult with annual winter snowfall approaching 200 inches in "snow belt" areas. Additionally, health care services for Fort Drum, a large U.S. Army military installation, are unique in that most services are delivered through community-based resources. FDRHPO's mission is to analyze the health care systems, identify gaps and collectively leverage resources to address gaps and improve population health outcomes.

Digital equity isn’t just a tech issue — it’s a social, economic, and foundation for modern opportunities.

It ensures that everyone, regardless of income, geography, age, or background, can participate fully in society and benefit from the opportunities of the digital world.

That is why FDRHPO and Adirondack Health Institute, have collaborated to start the North Country Digital Inclusion Coalition (NCIDC) — to strengthen digital inclusion and digital equity across Northern New York.

Learn more about digital inclusion and how your organization can get involved by reading the article below.

Each year, FDRHPO staff kick off summer with a day filled with team-building activities, delicious food, and fun. It’s one of our favorite ways to celebrate our incredible team while living out our mission to give back to the communities we serve.

This year’s adventure took us to Zoo New York at Thompson Park! After enjoying a catered lunch together, the FDRHPO team rolled up our sleeves and volunteered at the zoo, helping clean the petting zoo animal enclosures so they would be ready for a fresh coat of paint.

The day was filled with laughter, learning, and plenty of appreciation for the amazing animals that call New York State home. FDRHPO encourages everyone to visit and support this wonderful North Country treasure!

June is Men’s Health Month! This month let's remind the men in our lives that their health deserves attention, support, and real conversation.

Strong connections, preventive care, and mental well‑being all play a major role in long‑term health. Checking in with a provider, talking openly about stress, and leaning on trusted relationships can make a meaningful difference.

Let’s use this month to encourage men to prioritize preventive screenings, strengthen mental health habits, and stay connected to the people who help them thrive.
