Cedar Valley Hand Up

Cedar Valley Hand Up Providing transitional reentry housing and life-skills support for individuals rebuilding their lives in the Cedar Valley.

Cedar Valley Hand Up Organization (CVHU) exists to help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity, structure, and long-term support. We provide transitional reentry housing for men and women exiting drug rehabilitation, incarceration, short-term mental health care, and homelessness—including veterans—who are ready to take the next step toward independence. Our program offers a safe, structured

environment with 24/7 staff support and mandatory daily life-skills classes focused on real-world stability: personal responsibility, financial literacy, employment readiness, healthy routines, and accountability. Each participant receives an individualized plan designed to meet them where they are and guide them forward at a sustainable pace. CVHU works in partnership with trusted community organizations such as recovery programs, workforce resources, and local service providers. We believe collaboration—not competition—creates the strongest outcomes for individuals and for the Cedar Valley as a whole. Our mission is to break generational cycles of dysfunction and provide a bridge to self-sufficiency. We measure success not just by housing, but by lasting transformation. This page is where we share impact stories, program updates, and opportunities for the community to support this work through prayer, partnership, and monthly giving.

We believe lasting change doesn’t happen overnight.

That’s why CVHU is committed to thoughtful planning, strong partnerships, and realistic timelines—so future programs are effective, ethical, and sustainable.

01/12/2026

Too many people fall back into cycles of instability—not because they lack motivation, but because long-term support systems are missing.

CVHU exists to help close that gap through preparation, accountability, and collaboration with community partners.

Not every form of support is financial.

Following this page, sharing our mission, and staying informed helps strengthen the foundation we’re building for long-term community impact.

Thank you for being here.

Right now, CVHU is in a critical building phase.

We’re laying the groundwork—program development, community partnerships, policies, and infrastructure—so future services are strong, responsible, and sustainable.

Strong foundations matter.
