Dear Friends,
Grace and peace to you!
On behalf of the Black Church Cornerstone Collaborative at Louisville Seminary, we are pleased to extend a special invitation to you and your congregation to join us for our Rural Summit on Saturday, October 17, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM.
We will gather at 1940 Midland Trail, Shelbyville, KY 40065, with a virtual participation option also available.
Our theme, “Big Enough – Using What You Have in Your Hands: Co-Laborers for Christ,” draws upon Isaiah 54:2.
We believe deeply in the gifts, wisdom, and faithful witness of rural and small-town Black congregations. This summit offers an opportunity to celebrate that witness, learn alongside one another, and explore how the resources already in our hands can nurture ministry and strengthen our communities.
Whether you are a pastor, lay leader, ministry partner, or someone who cares about the future of the Black Church, we hope you will join us. Your experiences, questions, and hopes will enrich our conversations as we encourage one another in the work God has called us to do.
