We trust you are all keeping safe during these challenging times.

We at ONAPS Foundation are aware of the tides and accordingly, we are adjusting ourselves to better serve and to work with yourselves for the development of the many courses we have so often fought for. In the last few years, we have gone through rebranding and changes within the previous outfit “African Energy Association” and we made a decision to sync our profit business and the non-profit business while we grow our branding.

Working through our offices across the continent and informed by our African experiences, we address very critical issues affecting the continent in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by: expanding economic opportunity and combating poverty (SDG1); empowering women (SDG 5); education and promoting youth leadership (SDG 4); strengthening governance (SDG 16); and promoting international cooperation through partnerships (SDG17).

We welcome your support as we grow and we appreciate your many messages and suggestions on how we can move forward sustainably.

AEA Launches Women in Energy for Africa (WEFA): Two weeks ago, AEA launched WEFA at an investor relations dinner in Washington, DC. The launch was sponsored by Merrill Lynch.

Women in Energy for Africa (WEFA) is a platform formed under African Energy Association to support the efforts of African women in energy industry and also those who would like to venture into the industry.

Women are underrepresented in this industry on the continent. AEA aims to promote discussions, empower and create thought leadership through support and networking opportunities from selected mentorship programs.

WEFA membership elevates your profile as an energy industry professional. WEFA provides access to experienced professionals, appointed officials, senior staff and C-Suite executives from a wide range of industries.
