Looking for 2018 Sakura Matsuri(Apr 14th) volunteer for TABLE FOR TWO!

["Making Onigiri to Make a Difference" event in DC, Oct 29th]

Japan-America Society of Washington DC (JASWDC) and SAY are proud to support TABLE FOR TWO’s “One million Itadakimasu!” - World Food Day Campaign 2015. During the class, you will learn how to make onigiri with delicious fillings and support TABLE FOR TWO’s “One million Itadakimasu!” campaign. Participants will be able to help donate school meals to children in Africa by taking a photo with their onigiri (rice balls). TFT is working with several corporations, who will donate money for each photo taken with an onigiri. They will be able to send five school meals to a child in need per photo. Also, a portion of the fee for this class will be donated to “One million Itadakimasu!”

For the second year in a row, TFT participated in the Sakura Matsuri to showcase "wasoku," Japanese traditional cuisine and the works TFT does in cooperation with restaurants to alleviate world's hunger and obesity problems. This year, an average of 40,000 people attended the Street Festival.

TFT will celebrate World Food Day with this fun activity: "Let’s build a healthier world with 25 Cents!" Anybody can try this anywhere, anytime in Oct and Nov. Please build a tall tower with your friends, family and colleagues and take fun photos!
*If you don't live in the US, please use your country's coins:)

[How to join?]
1. Get together with your friends, family and co-workers with as many as quarters as
you can find. (anytime in Oct and Nov)
2. Build a tower with 25 cents as tall as can be and count the number!!
3. Take a photo with the tower and your smile. Please post the photo on Facebook,
Twitter and Instagram ( ) and let us know how many 25 cent coins
(=school meals) high you can build.
4. Send the donation through www.tablefor2.org (click the donation button) or a check
