The “After Service” Foundation (Pislya Sluzhby) had the great honor of meeting personally with the 70th U.S. Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo.

During the productive meeting, we explored potential pathways for collaboration focused on comprehensive support for Ukrainian veterans. Topics included holistic approaches to rehabilitation—encompassing physical therapy, psychological care to address PTSD, employment reintegration, and family support systems. We emphasized comprehensive solutions that rehabilitate veterans after their service and discussed specific ways to help veterans.

The encounter aimed to build lasting connections between our foundation and U.S. partners, exchange best practices on veteran policies, and identify joint initiatives. Having assisted over 15 000 veterans since 2022, we’re eager to scale our impact through international expertise.

We are inspired by our meeting with the Honorable 70th U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and look forward to the next steps in our partnership.

Під час плідної зустрічі ми обговорили можливі шляхи співпраці, зосереджені на всебічній підтримці українських ветеранів. Серед тем були цілісні підходи до реабілітації, що охоплюють фізичну терапію, психологічну допомогу для лікування ПТСР, реінтеграцію на ринок праці та системи підтримки сім’ї. Ми наголосили на комплексних рішеннях, що відновлюють ветеранів після їх служби, обговорили конкретні шляхи допомоги ветеранам.

Зустріч мала на меті налагодити тривалі зв’язки між нашим фондом та американськими партнерами, обмінятися передовим досвідом у сфері політики щодо ветеранів та визначити спільні ініціативи. З 2022 року ми надали допомогу понад 15 000 ветеранам і прагнемо розширити наш вплив завдяки міжнародним партнерам.

Ми натхненні зустріччю з шановним 70-м Державним секретарем США Майком Помпео і з нетерпінням чекаємо на наступні кроки у партнерстві.

Today marks four years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia.

Today we remember with heavy hearts the thousands of Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives protecting their homeland - the brave soldiers, the courageous medics on the frontlines, and the selfless volunteers who ran toward danger to deliver aid, care, and hope.

We honor the medics who worked day and night to save lives amidst bombardment and chaos, and the volunteers who crossed borders and battle lines to bring food, medicine, shelter, and compassion to those in need. So many names, so many stories, so many loved ones gone too soon.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

🦾 Major Rehabilitation Fundraiser: “Step Forward” for Six Veterans.

‼️ The “After Service” Foundation is launching a fundraiser to raise UAH 3,000,000 for the physical rehabilitation of six severely wounded veterans. Each step in their recovery requires significant effort. After their injuries, these veterans face a challenging journey toward healing. We continually seek ways to support their rehabilitation, and now we invite you, our dedicated supporters, to join us.

👣Each of your donations and friendly money boxes is a real step forward for a wounded veteran. “Step Forward” is not an abstract fundraiser; it is a personalized rescue mission that, thanks to you, we will carry out together for those who really need help.

🖇️This fundraiser is open for:
1. Mykola, 24 years old — severe diametric bullet wound to the head.
2. Serhiy, 46 years old — a gunshot wound to the head, open craniocerebral trauma.
3. Yevhen, 39 years old — spinal injury.
4. Oleg, 31 years old — craniocerebral trauma.
5. Bohdan, 24 years old — craniocerebral trauma.
6. Ivan, 32 years old — traumatic brain injury.
What will the UAH 3 million be used for?

📝To pay for complex rehabilitation (full restoration of motor and speech functions). One month of a full package of rehabilitation services for one veteran, for example, at , costs UAH 210,000.

These men and women sacrificed their health for Ukraine's freedom. All of their injuries were sustained during combat. They are symbols of resilience, courage, and fortitude. Now it is our turn to help them and bring them back to life, because supporting veterans is our generational duty.

Today, on International Volunteer Day, we honor the incredible people whose compassion and dedication have supported our work since the very first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Volunteers became the heart of everything we do. Their courage, kindness, and unwavering readiness to help strangers have saved lives, brought hope, and reminded the world of what true unity looks like.

We are endlessly grateful to every volunteer who stands with Ukraine - to those helping here on the ground and to those supporting from afar! To everyone who gives their time and strength: You are the reason help arrives, hope grows, and resilience prevails.
