Iowa drainage contractors are on the front lines of delivering water quality solutions.

As conversations around water quality continue across the state, the demand for proven drainage water quality practices such as bioreactors, saturated buffers, wetlands, and oxbows is growing. Iowa's Batch & Build approach is creating new opportunities to install these practices efficiently and at scale, but success depends on qualified contractors who know how to build them right.

Join Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, IDALS, and ADMC for the **Installing Drainage Water Quality Practices: An Iowa Batch & Build Contractor Workshop**:

📍 Fort Dodge – June 16
📍 Hiawatha – June 18

This hands-on workshop will cover:
âś… Installation and construction best practices
âś… Bioreactors, saturated buffers, wetlands, oxbows, and other water quality practices
âś… Batch & Build project delivery
âś… Bidding opportunities for IDALS and NRCS projects
âś… Discussions with contractors, engineers, watershed coordinators, and agency staff

Drainage contractors have always played a critical role in improving agricultural productivity. Today, they are also a key part of Iowa's water quality future. Don't miss this opportunity to learn, connect, and position your business for emerging conservation drainage opportunities.

ADMC is excited to attend the BRON Showcase on August 14, 2026, near Sheffield, Iowa!

This event is a great opportunity for drainage contractors, industry partners, and conservation professionals to see a live demonstration of a BRON 585 power unit installing 4-inch drainage tile in the field. Attendees will have the chance to interact with equipment operators, manufacturers, vendors, and drainage professionals while learning about the latest innovations in agricultural drainage.

As water management continues to play a critical role in both agricultural productivity and conservation outcomes, events like this help showcase the equipment and expertise that make modern drainage systems possible.

We look forward to connecting with contractors, landowners, engineers, and industry partners throughout the day.

đź’§ Water management is the foundation of productive agriculture.

Drainage contractors have long helped farmers manage excess water, protect yields, improve field conditions, and make the most of every growing season. As weather variability increases and conservation expectations evolve, effective water management is more important than ever.

Dr. Eileen Kladivko of Purdue University shared findings from the 37-year SEPAC drainage plots, demonstrating that many soil health gains from no-till, cover crops, and crop rotations would not have been possible without effective drainage.

Water management is a foundational component of regenerative agriculture—supporting both crop production and the successful performance of other conservation practices.
