A four-day bluegrass campout in Shaniko aims to do more than fill the town with music — organizers hope it sparks a long-term rural arts movement across Central and Eastern Oregon.

The South Wasco Alliance is excited to announce that it has launched a new jobs creation and workforce planning project aimed at identifying and supporting critical service roles across South Wasco County. The initiative is funded through a Community Economic Development Planning (CEDP) Grant.

This planning project is a crucial first step towards securing further grants for implementing much-needed service roles in South Wasco County communities.

SWA is grateful to partner with Mid-Columbia Economic Development District, Papalaxsimisha, Columbia Gorge Health Council, South Wasco Health Collaborateive, and many others in this work.

Come down to the Deschutes Rim Health and Dental Clinic on June 12th 11am-3pm for the FREE dermatology mobile clinic! Thank you to Project Happy Face for coming all the way from Madras to provide this service. At this event they'll be able to do skin checks, freeze off cancer spots, and provide treatment for acne.

Community health worker meet and greet for 0-5 is happening at the Wamic Community Center until 6pm today. Come at any time. Snacks from Honey Buns and basil lemonade are provided. Toys and activities are provided for little ones. Special guest with us today is Play & Learn.
