Did You Know?

Rhode Island veterans may qualify for a variety of state benefits, including tax exemptions, education assistance, employment support, and other programs designed to recognize their service.

Unfortunately, many veterans and their families are unaware of the benefits available to them.

At Mission: Boots to Briefcases, part of our mission is helping veterans connect with the resources, programs, and opportunities they've earned through their service.

If you're a Rhode Island veteran or know someone who is, we encourage you to explore the benefits available to you and your family.

Behind every ribbon, insignia, and uniform is a veteran who served our nation and carried that experience home.

This photograph was captured during Gaspee Days, where we spent the day meeting veterans, listening to their stories, and sharing information about our mission.

The veteran featured here represents the service, sacrifice, and resilience that inspire our work every day. Encounters like these remind us why Mission: Boots to Briefcases exists, to help veterans navigate the challenges and opportunities that come after military service.

Through career transition support, resource connections, and community engagement, we work to ensure that no veteran has to navigate that journey alone.

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day.

Today we celebrate the Stars and Stripes and what they represent: freedom, service, sacrifice, and opportunity.

One of our favorite moments from Gaspee Days beautifully captured the spirit of the freedoms we hold near and dear to our hearts as Americans. If you know the family of the child pictured, please reach out. Our photographer would love to provide them with copies of the photo at no cost. 🇺🇸

This moment serves as a reminder that each generation inherits the freedoms secured by those who came before them and carries the responsibility of preserving them for those who follow.

What a beautiful (and hot) Gaspee Days Parade today. We had the privilege of meeting and speaking with veterans from across Rhode Island.

Earlier this year, Mission: Boots to Briefcases had the privilege of hosting our Women Warriors Luncheon, bringing together women veterans from across our community for recognition, connection, and celebration.

Today we celebrate the women who have served and continue to make a difference in our communities every day.

As Women Veterans Recognition Day approaches, it's important to remember that supporting women veterans goes beyond recognition; it means ensuring they have access to the resources and support they need as they transition to civilian life.
