Fishing For Freedom 2026 is coming in 🔥HOT🔥! We are working hard here getting everything prepped and loaded. What we do can’t be possible without the help of all of our sponsors.
This year we are stocking this beauty with all of the gear we can fill it with for our warriors. A small token of thanks for their sacrifice they made for us. This year’s tournament is going to be one for the books! If you have a boat and want to take a warrior out fishing 🎣….. we would love to have you! Hello All! Happy Wednesday!
With our new followers it has been brought to our attention that there could be some questions about what we have going on here. So, let us introduce ourselves.

My name is Morgan and I am the current social media committee member. The fishing geek behind the screen if you will. 👋🏼
Our committee is formed on a large handful of volunteers that work hard to put together a fun filled fishing (and maybe some story telling 🤫) weekend for our American Heroes! Fishing for Freedom is a no-entry fee buddy style fishing tournament that pairs volunteer boaters with America’s Warriors to celebrate the freedoms we love with those who provide them.
We call it a weekend since we kick off the fun Friday night. But, the actual Fishing Tournament itself doesn’t start until Sunday morning. When the chase is on each boat has a chance to fish for bass, crappie, catfish, or “trash” fish. 🎣
Overall, we just want to take the opportunity to try to shower our Veterans with a wonderful weekend of camaraderie on a beautiful lake with America’s real life heroes in an attempt to show them how much we appreciate the sacrifices they make that allow us to enjoy the freedoms of the greatest country on earth. 🇺🇸

💥 We are 90 days out and Truman Lake we are coming in hot! 💥
Our Veterans list is stacked and packed (we are still taking a waiting list).
We are still looking for boaters. If you have a boat 🚤, like to fish 🎣, enjoy good food 🥩, and can handle a fun filled 3 day weekend….. Fishing For Freedom is for you!
Our committee is working double time to get our ducks in a row for a top notch event.

Over the weekend our great country celebrated a birthday. 250 years in this “One Nation, Under God”. Today and everyday I hope everyone approaches the new day with as much celebration for this great country that was shown this weekend. Because this land didn’t come free. The large price, immense sacrifice, and crippling pain was carried on the shoulders of so many.
So, from all of us here at Fishing For Freedom we want to say “Thank You” to all the men and women that have served and continue to serve this great country.
