Good morning and Happy Monday! My apologies for the delay in our 2026 Fishing For Freedom event posts, winners, and pictures! I sustained an injury to my cornea shortly after returning home and have slowly been getting my vision back. I will hopefully be processing the thousands of pictures we have soon to be able to share. We are in the final days leading up to our 2026 event. Unfortunately, due to illness 🤧we have lost 15 boaters in the last week. If anyone happens to know of anyone that needs some exceptional weekend plans, 📆 has a boat, 🚤 and likes to fish 🎣 please, send them our way! 🚨October 9-11, 2026 🚨is knocking on our door and we need some help to give our 🇺🇸 Veterans 🇺🇸 a weekend to remember. Fishing For Freedom Friends and Family, it is with great sadness we bring to you the passing of one of our own. One of our own that brought heart, light, and a smile along with him. Our committee is full of people that give this event so much but, the shoes that John leaves behind are large and our hearts are feeling the weight of his sudden departure. He leaves behind a wife, family, friends, and a brotherhood. During this time we ask you to please pray for all that loved and knew John. His legacy will live on with Fishing For Freedom for years to come!
“John, until we meet again, we will take it from here Brother! Thank you for all you continue to do, did, and the happiness you brought so many.”

💥🚨We are 30 days away from Fishing For Freedom 2026!!! 🚨💥

Our committee made a stop at one of our equipment sponsors and loaded our trailer down. Pure Fishing has been one of the heavy hitter sponsors for multiple years. They sent us out the door LOADED. We are so thankful for all the supplies, tackle, rods, and reels for our Veterans.
