Understanding Stress, Distress and Trauma

Thursday, July 24, 2025 | 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. ET

In this presentation, professor, clinician and researcher Dr. Bruce Perry will focus on exploring principles of state-dependent functioning and the key neural systems that mediate each person’s stress-response capabilities.

He will then explain how unpredictable and overwhelming stress, distress, and trauma impact an individual’s functioning and the implications for brain development in children.
