May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Mental health matters—every single day, for every single person. It affects how we think, feel, and show up in the world. And the truth is, many people are carrying more than we can see.

Check in on your people.
Be kind.
Listen more than you speak.
And remind others (and yourself) that it’s okay to not be okay.

If someone seems different—quieter, overwhelmed, withdrawn, or just “not themselves”—don’t ignore it. A simple “I’m here for you” can mean more than you know.

And if you’re struggling, please don’t do it alone. Reach out. Talk to someone. You are not a burden—you are human.

💚 In the U.S., you can call or text 988 for support anytime.

Let’s break the stigma. Let’s show up for each other. Let’s make mental health a priority—not just this month, but always.

World Semicolon Day, observed annually on April 16, is a mental health awareness day dedicated to su***de prevention and honoring those struggling with mental illness, addiction, or self-injury. It uses the semicolon (;) as a symbol of hope—representing a choice to continue one's story rather than end it.

The semicolon has become a powerful symbol in the mental health community, representing hope, resilience, and the choice to continue. In writing, a semicolon is used when an author could have ended a sentence but chooses not to. In the same way, it symbolizes a moment in life where someone could have stopped their story—but decided to keep going. It stands as a reminder that struggles with mental health, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, do not define a person’s entire story. Instead, it honors the strength it takes to pause, breathe, and move forward. The semicolon is a quiet but meaningful way to show support, raise awareness, and remind others that their story isn’t over.
