Almost 20 years ago, around this time of year, I was sitting with my quilt and Chanupa on Eagle’s Nest Butte, watching a little bug crawl across my prayer ties. That memory — and many others — never left me.

With some help from today’s tools, I’ve been able to pull together a project that can support the people & help you thirive. Full startup funding is available, and everything has been mapped out for community ownership and long-term benefits.

I haven’t spoken to anyone out there in almost two decades, but the memories — and my love and respect for the people — stayed strong enough for me to quietly offer this.

No pressure. No pitch. Just support. I'm not looking to own this as anything more than my offer to help get this in motion.

I’m simply opening the door to a conversation. Would the community be open to exploring something like this? What would be needed for it to feel right, to feel yours?

🦬 When you raise bison, you don’t just raise food.
You raise opportunity.

Bison bring meat for families, hides for leather, bones for crafts, tourism for income, and even dog food for everyday needs.

Every part of the animal provides value. Nothing is wasted.
That means jobs, pride, and strength for the people — right away.

This isn’t a dream far away. It’s something we can build now.

All of this — grant-funded.
All of this — owned by the people.

I’ve been building a full roadmap to help make this happen.

Something powerful has been taking shape behind the scenes — not a business, not a pitch, but a question:

What would it look like if the buffalo truly returned — not just to the land, but to the heart of community life?

I’ve developed a full workbook and strategy that helps make this possible — but it’s not mine to lead. I’m not Native, and this isn’t a proposal I’m pushing. It’s an invitation to imagine.

Starting in places like Wanblee, SD — where the land still remembers — I’m hoping to connect with Tribal voices who are ready to ask:

What would you want this to look like?

What support would help your youth the most?

How would your community restore the bison in a way that reflects your culture?

I’ve gathered funding tools, herd planning models, and national support opportunities. But this is not a solution to be given — it’s a vision to be shaped by those it belongs to.

🔗 If you live in the area or feel connected to this idea, I’d be honored to hear your thoughts.

Let’s start with questions. The answers belong to the people.
