Hey everyone, as a reminder tomorrow is the big day to vote on the BOE seats and the Budget. Polls are open at the High School from 6 AM- 9 PM.

I think our schools can be so much more than they are we just need to have the courage to go after it.

No matter what happens tomorrow I am very grateful for the support and help I have received during this time.

Some people in the community seem very concerned and have been making assumptions on why I didn't submit the teachers union questionnaire and it's really a multi part answer...
1) First and foremost I am running for a board position to represent the entire community, parents, students and teachers, not necessarily the teachers union.
2) I didn't feel that someone answering a few survey questions was sufficient enought for a teachers union to endorse candidates unless they already knew who they were endorsing.
3) Many of the generic stance questions were covered in our questions for meet the candidates and other questions on it were more union centric.

School Board and Budget vote are coming up May 17th. Make sure you get out and make your voice heard. If you look at the other Gananda pages you will see them bashing me, and making false assumptions about me. It would be nice if these passionate individuals would also attend Board Meetings so they would have a clue about what is really going on and what the issues are.

Gananda has released the budget information that needs to be voted on May 17th. Please take some time to review it and ask questions if needed. There is a proposed 2.3% tax Levy for residents to help pay for the proposed budget.

This is a great message and one I am very passionate about. If you want to have a successful school and more importantly successful students, you need to have engaged parents. One way to improve that is being open and transparent with them as far as what is going on in the schools.

This is not my original quote but I completely agree with its message. Parents, community, our schools and staff all should work as a team to give our students the best foundation in their education.
