🇨🇻⚽ A great day to celebrate Cape Verdean athletic excellence.

Yesterday, Cape Verde made history with a 0-0 draw against Spain at the FIFA World Cup in Atlanta — an unforgettable moment for a proud sporting nation.

It also reminded us of a special 2024 project: a custom card we created to celebrate Marques Houtman’s Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame nomination. Houtman became the first and only officially nominated Cape Verdean in Basketball Hall of Fame history.

From the soccer pitch to the basketball court, Cape Verdean athletes continue to inspire.

June 2019 | Wolves Futsal Club

Captured during preparations for the World Futsal Championships at Disney World, this photograph of Arlington native Dylan Walsh feels more like a piece of art than a sports image.

With one foot striking the ball and one hand pointing toward the next opportunity, Dylan appears to be doing two things at once—executing the play and directing it.

The blurred ball creates a sense of speed and movement, while the athlete remains calm and composed at the center of the frame. It’s a powerful reminder that futsal isn’t just about technical skill—it’s about vision, decision-making, and confidence under pressure.

Today, Dylan continues his soccer career at Division I Stonehill College, but moments like this remind us of the work, commitment, and passion that helped build that foundation.

What an AWESOME week at our Needham Basketball Camp! 🏀

From Day 1 to the final games, this group brought energy, effort, and great attitudes every single day. We saw players grow in confidence, improve their skills, and — most importantly —support one another as teammates.

⚽ Futsal Season Wrapped — And What a Run

We’ve officially wrapped another outstanding Sidekick Sports Academy Futsal season in Arlington.

From week one to the final session, players showed real growth — improving their ball control, speed of play, and confidence in tight spaces. Just as importantly, they competed hard, supported teammates, and embraced the process of getting better.

Futsal continues to be one of the most effective ways to develop soccer players — every touch matters, every decision counts.

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 on the horizon, it’s exciting to see young players building the same foundational skills that drive the global game.
