15 Volunteer Mentors Needed for Boston Youth!
SCI is looking for 15 more adult volunteers passionate about sharing skills with young leaders for the 2026 SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest! SCI will pair you up with another volunteer as Pitch Coaches to mentor a youth team looking to win up to $2,000 to implement a community project. The SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest is a free program that empowers young leaders through two months of weekly coaching sessions to develop, pitch, and implement social impact projects in their communities by providing youth in Greater Boston with
Up to $2,000 in Grant Awards & Mentorship to implement community project idea
Development of Career Skills such as public speaking, project management and team collaboration
Bridging Community Connections to like-minded peers & professionals across the region that helps grow their network

Coaching sessions begin in February 2026. Social Capital Inc. has a preference for Pitch Coaches with in-person availability, as there are limited volunteer spots for virtual options.
