77 Veterans. 77 Cards.

Our goal is simple: make sure every resident at the Veterans Community Living Center at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center receives a card of appreciation from our community.

So far, we've collected **18 cards and letters**.

That means we still need **59 more cards** to reach every veteran.

A card doesn't need to be long. A simple message of gratitude, encouragement, kindness, or appreciation can brighten someone's day and remind them they are remembered.

The benefits of having a great dad are countless.

A study of the AmeriCorps Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion programs showed that BEING a great father figure is also invaluable.

RSVP Partner Station Spotlight: Museum of Friends

This month, we’re proud to spotlight the Museum of Friends (M*F) in Walsenburg, a valued RSVP volunteer station partner offering meaningful opportunities to support local arts, cultural education, historic preservation, and community connection.

M*F honors artists, supports local creativity, and preserves the historic Roof & Dick Building, and we celebrate its role in Huerfano County’s cultural and economic history.

We also congratulate Museum of Friends founders Brendt Berger and Maria Cocchiarelli-Berger, recipients of the 2026 Governor’s Creative Leadership Award for Arts and Creative Placemaking, recognizing their impact on arts, culture, and community life in Southern Colorado.
