For the Love of a Boxer Rescue & Sanctuary - Michigan For the Love of a Boxer Rescue & Sanctuary, Wallace, Michigan - was founded in 2013 as Ruff Start Boxer Rescue. Our dogs are NOT PETS. They have never been pets.

We are a PUPPY MILL ONLY or HIGH MEDICAL NEEDS ONLY rescue. We save boxers and bostons from puppy mills, dog auction houses and breeding farms who are being sold, given away or retired as they are no longer deemed productive or wanted. Never been loved, and many harbor mental repercussions of such treatment. For this reason, each and every one of our dogs is individually evaluated to see what type

of home they need. What things they are capable of doing, and hopefully able to learn. This is why COMPANION DOGS are required for 99% of our dogs. Dogs are who they have loved and lived with, and who they trust. Humans are who has betrayed their love and trust while locked in the cage for years and years. This is also why PHYSICAL FENCES are required. To keep these puppy mill survivors from running away from US, the humans that never loved them, and thus have no bonds/attachments to. :(



These dogs all receive full vetting, after years of never seeing, nor being visited by a veterinarian. They slowly learn to trust humans, and interact with us. This can take several weeks, or up to a year! Each dog has its on ability to interact and trust, and each dog is given that time needed here. We believe in , and all dogs deserve to live a warm, comfortable life with lots of love and understanding. Our mission is be try to save as many as we can from life in a cage as a puppy machine.........All for the LOVE of a Boxer......and Boston!

I will ALWAYS be their voice. I will NEVER be silenced. I do not care if you disapprove of my voice, as I will STAND for those locked in cages as prisoners of GREED. I will never STEP BACK or BACK DOWN. These dogs deserve to be treated as pets and not as PUPPY MACHINES. This is my MISSION and I will never, ever stop defending the misuse of the boxer breed. I will FOREVER expose the abusers and CONTINUE to defend the innocent animals who have no voice.

Puppies are learning some potty training and are in their own pens with safe outside access. There are 4 pens, 3 have 3 pups and 1 has 4 pups in it.

They are all going outside via the dog door on their own, and having ZERO inside potty accidents!

They all go outside for playtimes together as a group, and then back into pens with whatever pup happens to go into that pen -- so they are still sharing times with multiple other pups several times a day, so they are staying super social with new siblings to keep things changed up!

14 more days until their families come to pickup, and I cannot wait for them to go to their forever homes!

Some pups from Sophie’s litter have been pulled and weaned. They are 6 weeks old today. The rest will be pulled this evening. They are just too hungry and she’s no longer feeding enough.

Want some amazing news?

Dog auctions have now been lowered to just ONE A MONTH due to the lack of dogs available from breeders for sale!

When we first started going to dog auctions, sometimes there were even 3 auctions a month! Typically 2, but sometimes 3!

Now..........they are having only one, and even the one isn't as full as they normally like -- they are lacking dogs to sell!

How amazing is that? WE are making a difference in the industry! Consumer knowledge........learning about where puppies come from and making sure you and everyone you know makes an educated buying decision is saving dogs' lives from the hell of life in a cage!

That being said, puppies show up at auction because the breeders can't sell them. Because of YOU! So here we have 6 pups up for sale this weekend. And we are hoping to save all 6 of them, with a budget to keep $$ out of the breeder pockets, but still save them from a future with yet another breeder's cage.

So here we go........and we need your help to help them!

Can you spare $5? $10? $20? to help these 6 puppies into a life that isn't locked inside a breeder's cage?

Is their freedom worth missing a cup of coffee or fast food lunch? I already have made arrangements for these pups to come into rescue........and now I just need YOUR HELP with funding their freedom!

Summer litters are rare around here.

But with the amazing warm weather we are having, the ability to give the pups a safe place to play without bugs, dirt, bacterias, etc., we've been taking to the south side play yard for some great fun!

This yard may not be large, but to a puppy, it's HUGE!

I have been introducing them to the outdoor area slowly, but as of this morning, all pups now have been in the yard to play!

And let me tell you having 13 pups running around your legs isn't for the faint of heart! It's down right dangerous! 🤣

More photos and videos to come in the next 2 weeks before they head to their new homes! July 4 is their pickup date, and I'm counting the days until this massive litter leaves!

Female dog friendly. Male dog friendly. Small and large dog friendly. Cat friendly, too!!
