Thanks to a grant from the Amateur Radio Digital Communications foundation (ARDC) and the efforts of the Camp Evans volunteers, InfoAge now has 10GB network links between the Main post, the cottages on the Shark River side of Marconi Road, and the Diana site.
The Makerspace at Camp Evans, AKA The Computer Deconstruction Laboratory (CDL), working with the team from our prime contractor OSPECC, utilized advanced underground directional drilling to minimize the disruption to the Camp Evans Historic District. This process created no new facilities visible above ground. and minimized the need to excavate or open the paving
This joint effort produced a $2400.00 annual savings in IT costs to InfoAge , improves educational remote access to the TLM-18, and allows sharing of network resources such as server storage space, the network master clock, and environmental alarming of all involved buildings!
Happy Holidays From our volunteers to all!
